Applications outside of our own programmes

Applications for funding outside of our own programmes and projects can only be considered in exceptional cases. We recommend contacting the Foundation before submitting an application to avoid unnecessary work.

If an application is submitted afterwards, it should include:

• a cover letter briefly outlining the project;
• the following attachments: the objective and justification of the project;
• the proposed work schedule and timetable;
• the estimated personnel and material expenses;
• the overall financing plan.

Please note that the following requests are not eligible for funding:

• Measures for general welfare and to alleviate personal emergencies.
• Individual scholarships outside the listed scholarship programmes or individual grants for volunteer services abroad.
• Publication or travel grants are only possible in connection with a project already supported by the Foundation.
• The Foundation does not grant subsidies for general operating funds or to close budget gaps.
• The Foundation asks you to refrain from making offers for financial investments and real estate.

We expressly ask that you refrain from making these requests and ask for your understanding that these enquiries will not be answered.
